Lidia Frederico is a lifelong spiritual coach, energy therapist, trance medium and author. Key Speaker, Business Consultant and Entrepreneur with more then 20 years of experience and thousands of clients from all walks of life under a wing. She is widely sought out by clients and media worldwide. Originally from Portugal, she now lives and works in London.

When people ask you “What do you do” – what is you answer?
I’m a Consciousness Facilitator and Energy Therapist, in essence the `Cleaning Lady’ which is a named honed by many of my past clients. I remove, clean and clear negative energies and entities from the auric field of my clients, and pull out the repressed emotions, which are no longer serving their life in anyway shape or form. Also to give them back their power and the ability to be in charge of their lives.

Is this what you have dreamed to do when you were a child?
Absolutely not, I wanted to be a ballerina and a doctor. However, that changed at the age of 7 when my brothers started Karate, and my passion and drive to render them impotent was my goal, that’s siblings for you. I went on to become a black belt and won numerous competitions and awards for my efforts and for my country, in the European and World Karate competitions. This is prompted me to start my own Karate school at the age of 16, which is aimed at those with learning difficulties, and I’m happy to say, the school is still in existence today.

My past clients honed the name “Cleaning Lady’ as I remove, clean and clear negative energies and entities from the auric field of my clients,

How your dream to become who you are today is derived and developed?
I come from a line of spiritually gifted people. My ancestors from my mother’s side of the family were all Energy Practitioners, and in those times there were no diploma’s required, (laugh) the testimonials were all by word of mouth, which is something I keep close to my heart today, as much of my clients are derived in this fashion, and as such I will continue with that ethos, as you cannot beat the personal touch.

My gifts were developed over the past 25 years, dedicating my heart, spirit and soul to it, as I accepted it was my calling and my life path. Also it should be noted, that one of my childhood dreams nearly materialised as I spent 3 years studying to be a doctor, so as to help others. However, I got married and had a family and the dream was postponed. However it is very apparent that God / Universe had other plans for me, and as such, I’ve found the medical training received has paid off with the work I now do.

What are the biggest challenges you have faced in this journey?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve found is the lack of integrity (in what is now deemed an industry). As many see this as a business as opposed to aiding others who are stuck emotionally in their lives. People are not pound signs; they are souls which come our way, for those who are gifted to aide them.

Granted as with everything we need to earn a living, but that is not my focus, as everything I do is with guidance, and remembering that in the past my own life was in turmoil, and I was guided to a beautiful soul who did help me, and in turn, I’m paying it forward.

I’ve learned from my elders, that you are to create a name for yourself and add to your family’s history, and this is what I’m doing, as I do not need to ride on their achievements and or coat-tails.

How would you describe the life you have created in London and where is the difference with the life you had in your country?

I come from a family line of aristocracy and can be traced back to 1029 AD. Amongst my ancestors there are also Nobel Prize winners, whose names can be found in the history books, as well as pioneers in surgery (the frontal lobotomy surgery), which was conducted by Dr Egaz Moniz, who is my fourth cousin. I’ve learnt from my elders, that you are to create a name for yourself and add to your family’s history, and this is what I’m doing, as I do not need to ride on their achievements and or coat-tails.

How do you stay connected with your country and your community here in London?
I stay connected with my country by visiting. I don’t have a specific community here, as my organisation Lidia Frederico Project is for all inclusive, as everyone needs help, and if they come to my door, their ethnic origin does not have any basis for me to aide them.

Can you tell is about your family – what family does mean for you?
My family are my foundation, and the reason why I strive to set the example to my children, especially, how we are to enable others. I am a mother of four children and a step mum.

I’ve been blessed with these beautiful diamonds, who have brought so many teachings and lessons to me, out of the mouths of babes. Adults unfortunately, have the propensity to believe they know it all, and the fact is, children serve the biggest soul lessons we have in life. This is irrespective, of whether you birthed them or not, as their hearts are pure and unstained.

My family are my foundation, and the reason why I strive to set the example to my children, especially, how we are to enable others.

What would be your wisdom for migrant women living in the UK and all around the world?
You can achieve and do anything you wish to put your heart and soul into. It is important to be on integrity and honour as well as keeping your values intact, and never forgetting where you have come from.  Granted you are inclined to experience some challenges, but we also need to bear in mind, that the country receiving you are accepting you with open arms, so there is a need to respect their laws and also have mutual respect for them.
